Not only is it risky, but the minimum investment for futures is large. The best you can do is talk to a broker. He'll advise you on what you need. This type of investing can't be done on Ameritrade or Scottrade.

See a broker, tell him what you want and give him the money! Brokers are located in most banks but they are not the sharpest tacks in the box.
