If the US bought Canada, who would we buy it from? The Canadian Government? In that case, we would have bought it from ourselves, since the US would assume Canadian government assets. If the USA bought Canada's land, the Canadians would still be free to vote a huge property tax increase.





Since America is not an imperialist nation, it's impossible the US would consider either annexation or invasion for the purpose of acquiring the country
Canada is a close ally to the United States. Plus, Canada is mostly an uninhabitable wasteland, and whatever resources are there are protected by international laws.
