The car I just bought is dripping oil?

I just bought this old car. The previous owner assured me that it was mechanically sound, lots of new things were just done to it, and that it wouldn't need an oil change for another 1,000 miles... I forgot to ask if it drips oil.

Is previous owner at all responsible? The car I just bought is dripping oil?
No you bought it As Is so its Buyer beware. But a drip does not usually mean a big problem, check your oil often to see how much you are losing. If its less than a quart a month just keep an eye on it , If its more you will need to have a seal or gasket replaced. Good LuckThe car I just bought is dripping oil?
more than likely you have valve cover gaskets leaking, this is not a big deal. this is common on old cars. the car is probably mechanicaly sound, this is just normal maintenance, and was bought '; as is';. previous owner not responsible.
buyer beware
if its dripping oil you need to change gasket were its dripping that should fix your problem
nope. Not unless he gave a warranty in writing.
Just find out where and how much oil is dripping...it may just be a simple fix....if you already know this.....add this info to your question.
NO, but nowadays people just don't understand that. If I have a guy come to me complaining about something like that, I may offer to help, but if he's being a a** about it, I tell him to get lost.
