Would it be better for the UK to join the Euro if more countries started buying their oil in Euro's than USD?

Seem's all oil has to be purchased in US Dollars and we have to pay the USA to have dollars to buy the oil. Therefore if we have the Euro and buy our oil in a currency we already have surely that will be more beneficial to our economy. Thoughts please.Would it be better for the UK to join the Euro if more countries started buying their oil in Euro's than USD?
That's as maybe, but the minute we joined the Euro everything would go up in price, and prices are high enough already in the UK for just about everything. You can bet the price of petrol would go up for sure.





Do you know why we pay in dollars for oil? It's not because America are great, it's because the US government are family friends with the Saudi royal family (yes, that bunch of murdering dictators).Would it be better for the UK to join the Euro if more countries started buying their oil in Euro's than USD?
The US would do anything to stop that, looked what happened to Saddam Hussein when he started accepting Euros for Iraqi oil and what is going to happen to Iran for the same reason.
