It's approximately 15'; x 25'; and I'm just wondering how much I should sell it for. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! x

The link doesn't work. As for the value, it depends on what the view looks like. You are quite restricted in your market, try advertising in the local paper for around 拢25 and see if someone living locally recognises the landmarks and is interested. How much would you pay for this oil painting? That's a scary view out the window. I personaly wouoldn't buy it, it's not my style, but you've proven that it is other people's style, seeing that you have someone willing to buy already. I think that if I was to price that, I would probably put it on ebay. People want somthing cheap, so start really low. Pick somthing like $40... If people like it, that will go up. Don't keep all your old paintings, even if they are sentimental to you. In the end all you'll have is a clutter of old painting lying around. The masters all got rid of their paintings, so I think if you want to, they choose ebay, or if the person really loves it that is interested, then start at somthing more like $120, maybe more, however much the person seems willing.
20-30
i use to enter exhibitions and sell paintings alot better than this and get up to 80-120 for them during my training, but that was through a society who ranged the coffee table art in that category,
this is not a Commercial piece, you haven't got a name around as an artist or an outlet to get a competitive price, i work in a gallery and since before christmas our sales are in the pits, its a hard time to sell art or get a good price
keep this for yourself its your first and it holds sentimental value for you,
i find there's no contrast in the colours although i like the sky, you aren't trying to say anything through the painting there's form and content, the form is ok very dark with no composition or chiaroscuro, the content- what your tryin to say the meaning or context behind the painting seems non existant, im studying for a degree at the moment im not the greatest painter but i just keep trying to improve and be obsessive about it never stop good luck
Your sky is lovely. You did a wonderful job on the colours and blending.
The rest of this is dark and has no focal point. The towers/stacks on the right might have special meaning to you, but they are dark, have no variations of colours or highlights, and take up almost half of your canvas. Keep your stacks, but paint some of them out and give them some flecks of colour (reds, purples, blues) and lighter highlights to add interest, instead of just dark grey and black.'

A painting needs to have something for the viewers to focus on, to identify with. Put a fat lazy cat laying on the top steps, with the light catching on his head and back, and you might have a winner.
If it's really sentimental then you should keep it!.I still have some of my first ones.Actually you brought back some nice memories .thanks!
can,t see it but for a small 1st painting ,$50.00 is a good start
NOT MY CUP OF TEA
